The DUAL DISCRIMINATOR SYSTEM with GROUND TRAC@ offers options for finding more valuables and less trash. "Tone Discrimination" gives a Low Tone for nickels, pull-tabs and most trash items. High Tone for most coins and silver. Can be adjusted so pull-tabs give an in between broken sound, making them easy to identify, thus allowing for finding nickels and gold rings along with other coins. On "Full Discrimination", the detector will reject trash and other unwanted items and emit a High Tone for desired targets.

DUAL TONE DISCRIMINATOR classifies detected metal objects into the above 3 categories when operating with the toggle switch in the tone position. It is possible to set the DISC level so that nickels have a low tone, larger coins have a high tone and pull-tabs have an in-between "broken" tone, making them easily recognizable.
