This is a 1/500 Scale USS Chicago Guided Missile Cruiser Plastic Model Kit from Revell Monogram. Suitable for Ages 10 & Up. This was actually the third Navy Cruiser to bear the name Chicago and was built to replace her namesake which had been sunk in the Pacific in WWII. She was constructed with the support of a war bond drive conducted by the people of the city of Chicago. In 1964 she was completly convered to carry guided missles, radar, ASROC fire control system and a crew of 1,000 men.
